Class Description
PRE-BALLET: prepares the student to meet the
discipline and control needed for ballet study, is a
course with basic, creative and flexibility
movement of ballet. (Ages 4 to 6)
BALLET: (Ages 7 to adult) levels I, II, III, IV
Theses classes are designer to work gradually
elongates the muscles and import grace,
promoting greater poise and elegance. Student
learns vocabulary of ballet and the perfect
technique for the future.
POINTES: ballet technique with pointe (toe)
work.
BALLET(CONTEMPORARY)
CHOREOGRAPHY:
Introduction to Dance: for those who are just
getting started. Includes an explanation of all the
basic terminology used in dance classes and
teaches how to do basic steps. You can take this
class as often as you need.
Ballet classes advance level: for professional,
semi- professional and dance teachers. This class
provides intensive training and provides
opportunities to work with choreographies and
perform.
MODERN/CHOREOGRAPHY: Modern
emphasizes the use of the floor for centering and
grounding oneself in movement. This class
focuses on the breath (inhale/exhale), which
brings quality to one’s movement. Concepts of
overcurve/undercurve, contraction/release,
musicality and rhythm are explored. It
incorporates an eclectic blend of contemporary
and post-modern movement, and expressiveness.
No previous dance experience is necessary.
JAZZ AND HIP HOP: modern style, rhythm,
coordination, flexibility and various styles of
street dance. It starts with a warm up and
stretching exercises and is a very aerobic exercise.
FLAMENCO/ZAMBRA: Traditional Spanish
dance forms that focus on movement of feet,
arms and hands. Challenging and fun classes for
teens and adults.
BELLY DANCE: Beautiful art form of oriental
dance for students of all ages and levels. Students
learn posture, technique and movement. Veil,
cymbal technique are included, as well as simple
choreography.
