
Zizi is a performer, instructor,
choreographer and dance
photographer. She has been
dancing since her early teens.
Trained in Flamenco, Latin and
Middle Eastern dance, she has
studied with some of the most
outstanding professionals in the field
of dance. ZiZi has taught and
performed internationally. She
performed in Dubai (United Arab
Emirates) in June of 2006 and has
been invited back to teach a
workshop and perform in April 2008.
Precision, strength and stamina
characterize her dance style and
makes her a favorite amongst
audiences of all ages.
Zizi has performed in productions at
the Jackie Gleason Theater of the
Performing Arts, Lincoln Theater,
Caleb Auditorium, Manuel Artime
Theater, Dade County Auditorium,
Florida International University, Miami
Dade Community College Wolfson
and Kendall Campus, University of
Miami, Shops at Sunset Place, Miami
International Mall, The Falls and
Aventura Mall. She has performed at
and photograhed many charity
events.

Monica is the Founder and
Director of Superior Performing
Arts Dance Center and BellyDance
Troupe. She grew up in Caracas,
Venezuela where she began her
dance training at the early age of
five. She is a professional dancer,
teacher, choreographer and
producer with over 15 years of
experience in Ballet, Jazz,
Flamenco, and her passion, Middle
Eastern Dance. She is certified in
modeling, drama, makeup,
etiquette, protocol and diction from
Herman's Institute. She has
traveled extensively and studied
under many renowned teachers:
Rafael Portillo, Nina Novack, Jorge
Ramirez, Rouman Rachef in Ballet,
Sindy Quintero in Flamenco, and
Mahmoud Reda, Farida Fhamy,
AmirTaleb, Yousry Sharif, Jillina,
Horacio and Beata Cifuentes,
Ansuya and Aireen Ortega in
Bellydance.
In 2001, She opened her Superior
Performing Arts Dance Center with
her sister and partner, Artistic
Director Sarah Silvestri.
Sarah Silvestri is co-director of
Superior Performing Arts, teacher,
choreographer, and dancer.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, trained
at the Keyla Ermecheo Ballet School
which prepared her and shaped her
to join Ballet Juvenil (Junior Ballet,
official school of Ballet of the
Metropolitan Ballet of Caracas). She
graduated from classical ballet and
culminated her studies under the
artistic direction of Ines Rojas,
founder of the National Ballet of
Caracas. She became an active
member of this company under the
artistic direction of Vicente Nebrada
where she took part in all the
productions of that company. Her
classical ballet studies (Vaganova
Style) were supervised by the most
distinguished professors of the
former Soviet Union.
Sarah Silvestri has attended many
ballet competitions and seminars in
the United States and she has
performed in many theaters and
festivals. Sarah continues to develop
and enhances her artistic abilities as
a ballerina, choreographer and
teacher of classes and seminars in
Ballet.
Alexey Taran - Ballet and Contemporary Dance
Winner of the GUGGENHEIM FELLOWSHIP AWARDS, 2007
Graduated in 1988, Escuela Nacional de Ballet de la Havana
(National Ballet School-Havana), Escuela Nacional de Arte
(ENA) (National Art School), Cuba. Igor Youskevitch, Azari
Plisetski, Alicia Alonso, Martha Bosch, Laura Alonso, Andrés
William, Lázaro Carreño, Elena Madam, Mirta Plá, were just a
few of his outstanding instructors.
He was part of the Cuban National Ballet as a performer from
1988 until 1990. In 1988 he was also professor of the Ballet
and Dance National School of Havana, ENA, Cuba and was
appointed as vice-president of the Neodanza Company.
From 1990 until 1992 he was part, as a contemporary dance
performer and professor in classical dance, of the Compañía
Danza Abierta de Cuba (Open Dancing Company). Alexey
was co-director and teacher in the Experimental Forming
Workshop Program of the Scenic Arts and Neodanza,
1992-2000. During the same period he was choreographer
and performer in the Venezuelan Neodanza Company, led by
Inés Rojas. In the year 1999 he was co-founder and director
of the Day One Improve Festival and of the "Revoltillo"
Improve Weeks at the 8 Theatre, Caracas.
In the year 2000 he was guest choreographer to the
Zagrebacki Plesni Ansambl ZPA (Zagreb Dance Company)
and to the Zagrebacko Kazaliste Mladih ZKM (Zagreb -
Croatia). Guest choreographer to the Rajatabladanza
Company in the years 2000 and 2001, Caracas-Venezuela.
He taught in the V Classic Dance Technique Class and in the
IV Staging Workshop of the Dance University Institute of
Caracas, Venezuela. Founder member of the Company
ESPACIO DE REVOLTILLO ESCÉNICO, BISTURÍ (ERE.
Bisturí), January 2005. Ballet teacher of the Ballet Teresa
Carreño, Caracas-Venezuela 2006.
